Minister Angela Ballard
Zion Baptist Church Noonday Bible Study

So, the writer says we have this personhood that makes us people, persons, people able and capable of thinking and making right decisions, but then we can make wrong ones too, but then we know what to do about that. If we make a wrong decision, then we know that we need to what at this point in our life? Repent and ask God to forgive me and move on from there. But anything, as we said in the beginning, that denies that and stops me from doing that is something I need to pay attention to. Anything that makes me so depressed and so broken and so busted up that I am not even willing to go to God and say, “Lord,” whatever it is, “Lord, if I need to repent, God, I repent. If it’s something that has nothing to do what’s going on with me personally, God, show it to me. Make me aware of it.”
