I thought it was wonderful that the writer says that Adam was created out of arable soil, land capable of being ploughed, used to grow crops for the purpose of agriculture. That was the word that God used in the scripture when he said he created Adam out of this dust, this dirt, this ground. It was not just any dust, it was not just any dirt, it was not just any ground. It was arable soil. Is that not amazing? So, even Adam himself came out of God’s creation for giving man what he needed to be creative in every way. Just as the ground gave way to crops to feed man, also that ground gave way to man who would grow in grace and knowledge of the God that created him and would produce. Halleluiah, thank you, Jesus.
